[In the late morning hours, there's a knock on Parker's bedroom door...or wherever in the Dangan House she happens to be staying at the moment.]

H-Hey, it's Hagakure! Nothing's wrong or anything, I just got something for you.

[He sounds a bit on-edge for saying nothing's wrong, but that's just because he's really nervous. About everything.]

[It's nervousness she manages to pick up on, at least, because shortly following the knock the door opens up a crack, revealing Parker peeking out with focused interest.]

Hey! ...Are you sure everything's okay?

[She fixes him with a significant look, raising her eyebrows in the universal signal of "if you are being held hostage give me a signal so I know vaguely where the sniper is".

...Because it never hurts to check.]

What's up?

[Thankfully this is not a hostage situation! Hagakure's fine, he's just...well.

It'll become obvious why he's nervous once he holds something into view for Parker to see. It's a box of chocolates! The exterior might look a little different compared to what's normally seen in stores, and that's because he wanted to personalize the exterior. It has a lock drawn on the front of it, and "Happy Valentine's Day" is in the middle of the lock, written in damn near perfect handwriting.

...Clearly such a weird box design would only make sense to these two, but it seemed like a good idea to Hagakure when he put it together.]

I made you some choco! 'cause y'know, it's Valentine's Day and all that...

[Gods, he just hopes she likes them.]

Whoa...

[Well, that neatly resolves the question of the hostage situation dilemma, which is good because it gives her the opportunity to focus in on the chocolate. As a personal connoisseur of basically everything having to do with candy as pertaining to this holiday, it stands out instantly that this is coming in a box design that she's never seen before, which draws her attention — and means she'll catch on to what's going on there a little more quickly, on top of it.]

That looks so cool! You made that? ...For me?

[He nods enthusiastically in response, his expression turning into one of of happiness mixed with relief, mixed with...definitely the look that there are still a lot of butterflies in his stomach, basically. This isn't the first gift he's given Parker since they made it official, but it's their first Valentine's Day and he's never even done Valentine's Day like this before. There's room for error, and he wants to make as little error as possible because he wants be competent at this kind of stuff!]

Uh-huh! I made the chocolates, too! I kinda broke the usual customs 'cause I wanted to do something special for you.

[The chocolates are unfortunately not going to be nearly as pretty as the box, but they'll still taste good at least...! He tried. He tried so hard.]

Oh...y-yeah, 'cause I mean, I thought, when you guys do Valentine's Day it's like, you're supposed to get guys chocolate, like it only goes the one...way...

[Which is about the moment when it starts really sinking in that not only is he doing something nice for her here, but he's also going deliberately outside of his usual cultural comfort zone to do it, which...yeah. Yeah, that's pretty...yeah.]

I mean I made you chocolate, too!

[...But once she's successfully blurted that out, um.]

...Thanks. That's really...thanks, Hagakure.

Yeah, that's how it's usually done. But I thought, why not try it the way they'd do it where Parker-chi's from? So I guess I kinda did a little bit of both...ya know?

[He manages to grin a little bit, because he's getting the sense that it might've gone over well. He didn't totally mess it up!

It doesn't stop his heart from doing a little leap when Parker tells him she made him chocolate too, though. He honestly doesn't mind.]

Hey, you're welcome. Happy Valentine's Day!

...D-Did you really make me chocolates too? Seriously?

[His mind keeps skipping back to that. Sure, he's gotten giri choco before (like...once), but he has a feeling this is gonna be a way different experience. Parker-chi made him chocolate!]
