[It's not altogether unusual for one of Parker's Pokemon to end up featured in a video on the Network, but it seems as though today's broadcast is...slightly unusual. For one thing, these sorts of broadcasts usually come accompanied with Parker herself involved in some way, either alongside the Pokemon in question, or narrating over the top of the recording.
This time, though, the camera angle is relatively low to the ground — meaning that it's probably Gummy in charge of things — and the audio is largely silent, save for the pitter-patter of tiny padded feet on carpet (possibly the Eevees are playing somewhere nearby), and the low, faint growling of —]

[...Well, hello to you too, Nate.
The thing about a Mightyena is that, like this one's namesake, it's really easy to tell when they're upset about something, and it's pretty obvious that Nate is in a Not Particularly Good Mood. When he spots the camera rolling, though, he narrows his eyes slightly, then dips his head below the view of the screen and...
...comes up a minute later with Eeveemaru in tow, of all things. Clad as always in his little white uniform jacket, Eeveemaru at least doesn't appear to be anything more than reasonably bewildered as he dangles by the scruff of his neck from Nate's teeth, but either way the presentation doesn't last long. A minute later, Nate sets him back down again, and turns his hooded gaze back to the camera for another long moment before barking sharply, twice.
And that's...all the Network is getting out of this video today, apparently. Strange!]
[OOC: And with that, Parker knocks out for her canon update — and her Pokemon are Not Precisely Happy About It. Feel free to communicate with them in any way you like, or to action them up if you're in the Dangan House; replies may come from
parkermons, depending!]

[action]
After some searching, he finds the source of the barking in the study. Oh, that's Alice's Mightyena, isn't it? And...that's Alice asleep on the couch. Huh, why would her Pokemon be barking so loud with her sleeping there? Wouldn't that wake her up?
...]
Hey, uh... [He has to stop and think. What's the Mightyena's name again...? He can't remember, so he doesn't try to guess.] What's goin' on? Is everything okay?
[action]
Parker lights up with smiles when this one is in the vicinity, sometimes, and for that reason, Nate will not kill him.
He will, however, look up and regard (the very tall) Hagakure with a piercing canine stare before trotting around behind him and nudging him emphatically toward the couch.
Go on, then. Go look at what's happened.]
[action] 1/2
But he does go over after the Mightyena nudges him on. He kneels beside the couch and gently nudges Alice's shoulder. He can tell she's breathing, so at least that's good, but she doesn't respond to his nudging, so he nudges with a bit more force, speaking up now. Deep down, a part of him knows it's not going to work. If what Nate was doing was attempting to wake her up, there's no way his words are going to carry better than loud barking.]
Alice-chi? Hey, Alice-chi? C'mon, we need you to get up.
[Nothing. She's not responding.]
[action]
So for the moment, he won't accept the fact that she's in one. Instead, he uses both hands and shakes her by the shoulders. Not harshly of course, but enough that even a deep sleeper would wake up from it.]
Alice-chi! Please wake up! Don't mess with us! Please...!
[action]
But then, the growling dissipates and switches to a plaintive whine as Hagakure's voice grows higher and more desperate; as if in response, Nate trots over to the side of the couch and puts his front two paws up on the cushion, batting gently at Parker's shoulder himself.
Nudge, nudge, nudge. But she's not waking up, and that makes him whine louder.]
[action]
He was already feeling sick to his stomach with worry because he knew what he was doing wasn't going to work, but just seeing Nate try to help, and hearing that sad whining...it actually breaks his heart a little bit. Okay, first off he needs to fix that, stat.
He moves a hand over to pet the Mightyena, but doesn't outright touch him without making sure he's aware of it. He has a feeling this dog could easily bite his hand off without warning.]
Hey, hey...don't cry. [Is Nate crying? Well, dog whining always sounds like it.] It's gonna be okay. She's just sleeping, okay? But she's the only one who can wake herself up.
[action]
He does seem to tense a little bit when he's petted, but not in the way that makes it seem as though he's going to spring or snap; rather, it's more that his agitation is fierce enough that even the soothing stroking doesn't help all that much, though it's still a little better than nothing.
And his whining does gradually fade, the longer it goes on.
After a while of staring intently at Parker's sleeping form, he finally turns his head and gives Hagakure an intelligent, quizzical look. It's almost like he's asking, "Are you sure there's nothing we can do?"
Parker always did act as though Nate had a lot more humanlike mannerisms than most people gave him credit for.]
[action]
But he keeps that up, watching Alice in silence until he feels Nate move and realizes he's looking right at him. He studies the dog's face, and...yeah, he kind of recognizes that look. It's kinda like he's saying, "really?" So he must be making that face because of something Hagakure said. Hmm...]
It's happened to a couple of my friends already and nothing we did woke 'em up until they just woke up on their own a week later. I'm pretty sure this is the same deal.
[He turns his gaze back to Alice, still clearly distressed but he's trying to look hopeful for Alice and Nate's sakes.]
We just gotta stay here with her. That's pretty much all we can do.
[action]
Consequently, Nate rotates position by a few steps, presenting more of his back and posterior for the purposes of petting. Clearly he is the designated adult in this situation and that probably means looking after Hagakure as well as defending Parker.
However, a week is seven days. Tipping his nose down toward the ground, Nate paws lightly at the carpet seven times; today is one, which means that "a week" is one followed by however many days it takes to make seven.
That pawing of the ground is going to become a recurring habit of Nate's over the next week, as he methodically (and some might say, compulsively) counts out the number of days it is until Hagakure thinks Parker will be all right again.
One-two-three-four-five-six-seven.
Today is one.
Two-three-four-five-six-seven.
How many days are left?
Too many for Nate's liking, anyway, but there's nothing he can do about that.]
Just...give him a moment, because no seriously what the hell.]
Aneki...? Is everything okay?
You. Yes, you. You are the one Parker would want to know about this, and here you are. Yes good.]
Nate, is everything okay?
[He says, like he expects an answer.]
...which does absolutely nothing, up until it seems to occur to Nate that the fault is lying with Gummy's inherent camera perspective, and once it does he quickly trots back and shoves his nose under the bottom of the Gear, pushing it up so the angle rises to catch the sight of Parker lying haphazardly on the couch, her half-loose hair spilling off over the edge of the cushion.]
HE CAN'T LEAVE ANYONE ALONE FOR FIVE MINUTES, APPARENTLY.]
Okay! Okay - how long has she been like that? Is she not waking up?
Rrrrrrrrrr.
[But once that's taken care of, he trots back obligingly, facing the camera before barking sharply four times.]
I'll leave tonight, then, and I'll be home sometime tomorrow - I know you'll keep an eye on her until then! Are any of the others from my class there?
Emphatically, he brandishes Hagakurevee (who looks about as utterly bewildered as Eeveemaru had) for the camera.]
Hagakure-kun is a good person; he means well and he'll try to help, and it's okay to let him - he won't do anything harmful!
[...]
...The Eevees will probably try to jump on her a lot, and I think that's also okay unless they're trying to sleep on her face or something!
...On the other hand, Parker listens to Ishimaru and that means if she's down for the count, then what he says probably goes.
So instead, he just trots back to the camera again and paws a little insistently at it, whining at the image of Ishimaru on the screen.
Fix this soon, okay.]
Like I said, I'll be home tomorrow. We can talk about it then, okay?
Probably that is exactly where Ishimaru will find him when he gets home tomorrow, too. He is a good dog.]
